it's not just the Mormons. Oh no. It has a far more sinister dynamic than that of an obscure Utah polygamy cult. The reach of its tentacles extends to every crevasse of the body politic. And dare I suggest its potential for wanton destructiveness may be galactic in scope? It begins as all such calumnies begin: with plots upon plots upon plots, yielding up a classic inside-the-beltway circle jerk connecting the dots between politicians, lobbyists, shadowy foreign nationals, POWs and Islamic terrorists, extending outward to encompass Asian power brokers and fugitive Mafia Financiers. And the late Jimmy Hoffa and Lee Harvey Oswald. And Colombian Cocaine Kingpins and Israeli Arms Dealers. And oh yeah, there's a malevolent back-channel money-laundering scheme to finance Brenda's amnesia operation so she can remember what Lance told her about Heather's motel rendezvous with Drake on the day Monica put strychnine in Lizbeth's gumbo and...

Hardee har har.

Whatever.

Fact is, Matthew Holland recently quit NOM's board.

I'd ask if you might happen to know why, but as far as I can tell, you're a complete nutter, so I won't.

Seriously, man, I dropped by your blog. Disturbing.

Sorry, Chino, what you are presenting isn't accurate. At all. Check your facts before you post.

At all?

C'mon, Laura, I popped by your place and left you a very simple note re Matthew Holland's departure from the NOM board.

Which fact did I get wrong, exactly?

Methinks Chino's main problem is, he's a touchy little fuck. He wants comments, but when he doesn't get the kind he wants (or expects), he gets upset.

I have a rule. If you're fragile, don't have a blog...

PWer: I'm not seeing anything in my initial reply to you that would suggest I was upset.

Around these parts, "hardee har har" is meant to convey that I'm chuckling in your general direction as I type.

Otherwise, that's a fine rule you've got there. It's a pity the folks who might benefit the most from following it are so often the same crowd that lack the self-awareness required to know when they're breaking it.
